Circuit Breaker Business Support Package

The Victorian Government recently announced the $250 million Circuit Breaker Business Support Package to assist small to medium businesses and sole traders that are unable to operate due to the recent lockdown.

The package includes:

• $190.01 million second round of the Business Costs Assistance Program to provide $2500 grants for eligible businesses that cannot operate during the circuit breaker restrictions. The program will open for applications on Wednesday 2 June 2021 and will remain open for applications for three weeks.
   
• $40.7 million for a new round of the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund providing businesses holding an eligible liquor licence and food certificate with a $3,500 grant per premises. The program will open for applications on Wednesday 2 June 2021 and will remain open for applications for three weeks.
   
• $20 million in targeted support for the events industry. More information about this package will be available on the Business Victoria website soon.
