Full Time

Senior Accountant

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, deliver expert tax compliance, advisory, and business services while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards
  • Provide proactive tax planning and business advisory services to clients
  • Mentor, train, and review the work of junior and intermediate accountants
  • Liaise directly with clients and build strong, long-term relationships
  • Communicate with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required
  • Stay up to date with changes in Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
  • Manage workflow, prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are consistently met

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualified, or near completion
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public practice accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Part Time – 2–3 days/week

Junior / Undergraduate Accountant

Support the tax team in preparing and filing tax returns, assisting with tax planning and research, and providing high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts under supervision
  • Support the team with basic financial reporting tasks and data entry
  • Help gather, organise, and review client information and documentation
  • Assist senior accountants with research and learning activities related to tax and accounting matters
  • Support compliance tasks by following established processes and guidance
  • Communicate with clients for information requests and updates under supervision
  • Develop an understanding of Australian tax legislation and accounting requirements
  • Assist with administrative and workflow support tasks
  • Accurately complete timesheets and required internal documentation

Requirements

  • Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • No prior accounting or tax experience required
  • Exposure to accounting software such as Xero is advantageous but not essential
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop practical accounting skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
